[Hong Kong: Exploring the Creation of a Compliant Demonstration Base for Low-Altitude Economy Going Global] The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government officially released its First Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development (2026-2030) on the 16th. The plan proposes to build a low-altitude innovation application hub in the Asia-Pacific region and to formulate and implement the "Action Plan for the Development of the Low-Altitude Economy." It aims to improve the regulatory framework, standards development, and infrastructure construction, and actively enhance low-altitude economy-related scientific research, talent training, and international standard alignment. It will play a "leading, bridging, and demonstrative" role, exploring the creation of a compliant demonstration base for low-altitude economy going global, based on strengthening effective connections with the mainland's regulatory framework. It will also study jointly promoting the establishment of an international low-altitude economy cooperation organization with the mainland.
