[Pinglu Canal Opens to Navigation Today, 30 Cargo Ships Pass Through] This morning (16th), the Pinglu Canal, a key project of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, officially opened to navigation. Along with the opening of the Pinglu Canal, two new freight routes also commenced in both directions: the Nanning-Can Tho (Vietnam) foreign trade route and the Nanning-Yangpu (Hainan) domestic trade route. Today, 30 cargo ships passed through the Pinglu Canal. Nanning Port and Qinzhou Port focused on conducting maiden voyage operations, with cargo mainly consisting of containers and bulk cargo, covering building materials, coal, minerals, steel, fertilizers, and other supplies.
