[Kazakhstan's Industrial Output Rebounds to 1% Year-on-Year in August] ⑴ In August 2026, Kazakhstan's industrial output increased by 1% year-on-year, rebounding from a six-month low of 0.1% in July. ⑵ The contraction in mining and quarrying output slowed, falling by 3.9% in August compared to a 7.1% decline in July; manufacturing growth remained stable at 4.2%. ⑶ The growth rate of output from the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning slowed, falling to 13.3% from 22.7% in July; the growth rate of output from water supply, waste collection, treatment, disposal, and pollution removal activities fell to 6.9% from 7.8%. ⑷ Output increased in 16 regions of the country, while declines were recorded in Akmola, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, and East Kazakhstan. ⑸ On a month-on-month basis, industrial output surged by 14% in August, a significant rebound from a 6.1% decline in July, marking the highest reading since March.
