[Sources: US Officials Meet with Houthi Representatives in Oman Over the Weekend] ⑴ According to five sources, US officials held closed-door talks with representatives of the Yemeni Houthi rebels in Oman over the weekend. Just days before the meeting, the Houthis launched a large-scale offensive, capturing a strategic stronghold on the Red Sea coast and defeating Saudi-backed forces. ⑵ The talks were held at the US Embassy in Muscat, coordinated by the Omani government.
