(4) The US Congress granted the bill final approval after it easily passed the Senate last month. The bill gives Trump new powers to impose tariffs on countries that purchase Russian oil products and has been sent to him for signature; a White House official said Trump plans to sign it in the coming days. (5) These powers could subject the top five buyers of Russian oil products to a wide range of new tariffs, including India and US ally Turkey.
