[US Initial Jobless Claims Fall to 196,000, Lower Than Expected] ⑴ US initial jobless claims for the week ending September 12 fell to approximately 196,000, lower than the market expectation of approximately 208,000, and the previous week's figure was approximately 206,000. ⑵ The four-week moving average of initial jobless claims fell to approximately 203,000, compared to the previous week's approximately 206,000. ⑶ Continuing jobless claims for the week ending September 5 fell to approximately 1.73 million, lower than the expected 1.78 million, and the previous week's figure was approximately 1.77 million.
