[Korea's KFA Privately Purchases Approximately 58,000 Tons of Feed Corn] ⑴ European traders stated that the Incheon branch of the Korea Feed Association purchased approximately 58,000 tons of feed corn through a private transaction on Thursday, without issuing an international tender. ⑵ The corn is expected to originate from South America or South Africa. The seller is the trading firm ADM, with an estimated landed price of approximately US$294 per ton. ⑶ If originating from South America, the shipment period is from October 21st to November 21st; if originating from South Africa, the shipment period is from November 6th to December 6th, and the required supply is only approximately 53,000 tons. ⑷ This transaction occurred earlier that day after South Korean importer MFG purchased corn through an international tender.
