[Eurozone Current Account Surplus Expands to €36.5 Billion in July] ⑴ In July 2026, the Eurozone's current account surplus expanded to €36.5 billion from €29.7 billion in the same period last year, mainly driven by a stronger balance of goods and services. ⑵ The goods surplus rose to €39.8 billion from €31.8 billion, and the services surplus increased to €19.3 billion from €15.1 billion. ⑶ Partly offsetting the above growth was the expansion of the primary income deficit to €4.4 billion from €2 billion, and the secondary income deficit to €18.1 billion from €15.2 billion. ⑷ In the first seven months of this year, the current account surplus reached €151.1 billion, higher than €131.6 billion in the same period of 2025.
