Breaking it down by central and local governments, central government general public budget expenditure was 2,817.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6%; local government general public budget expenditure was 15,327.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. Major expenditure items are as follows: 1. Education expenditure: 2,727.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%. 2. Science and technology expenditure: 600.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%. 3. Culture, tourism, sports and media expenditure: 210.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%. 4. Social security and employment expenditure: 3,273 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. 5. Health expenditure: 1,497.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%. 6. Energy conservation and environmental protection expenditure: 290.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.3%. 7. Urban and rural community expenditure: 1,195.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3%. 8. Agriculture, forestry and water conservancy expenditure: 1,276.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6%. 9.
