[Poland's Producer Prices Rise 4.2% Year-on-Year in August, Highest Since 2023] ⑴ In August 2026, Poland's annual producer price inflation accelerated to 4.2% from a revised 3.1% in July, exceeding market expectations of 3.6%. ⑵ This marks the sixth consecutive month of producer price increases and the highest reading since April 2023, as prices in the mining and extractive industries rose to 6.4% from 4% in July, manufacturing to 4.6% from 3.5%, and electricity, gas, steam, and hot water supply to 1.4% from 0.3%. ⑶ On the other hand, prices for water supply, wastewater treatment, waste management, and remediation activities slowed to 2.2% from 2.3%. ⑷ On a month-on-month basis, producer prices rose 0.6% in August, a slowdown from the revised 1% in the previous month. From January to August, producer prices rose 1.3%.
