[Eurozone Construction Output Falls 2% Year-on-Year in July, Largest Drop in Five Months] ⑴ In July 2026, Eurozone construction output fell 2% year-on-year, the largest drop since February, with the previous month's figure revised upward to a 1.4% decline. ⑵ Construction activity continued to contract, falling to a 6.4% decline from a 7.4% decline in June; professional construction activity remained under pressure, falling to a 1.6% decline from a 0.4% decline. ⑶ Meanwhile, civil engineering grew by 0.6% after remaining flat in the previous month. ⑷ Among major economies, output fell 9.7% in Spain, 5% in France, 1.2% in Italy, and grew by 1% in Germany. ⑸ On a month-on-month basis, construction output was flat, with June's figure revised upward to a 1.5% decline.
