[Russia Expands Entry Ban List in Response to EU's 21st Round of Sanctions] The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on September 18 that it has expanded the list of Europeans banned from entering Russia in response to the EU's 21st round of sanctions adopted on July 23. The announcement stated that these individuals were involved in decisions regarding military aid to Ukraine, undermining Russia's territorial integrity, damaging Russia's relations with third countries, obstructing Russian maritime transport, persecuting Russian citizens, establishing so-called anti-Russian legal mechanisms, and advocating for the illegal confiscation of Russian state assets or the use of their proceeds. The list also includes members of the European Parliament and parliaments of EU member states who voted in favor of anti-Russian resolutions and legislation, as well as activists and academic representatives holding hostile positions.
