[Russia Urges Japan to Withdraw Typhon Missile System] Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova published a commentary on the ministry's website on the 18th, stating that Russia demands Japan withdraw the US-made Typhon intermediate-range missile system deployed in Japan. Zakharova stated that Russia had issued a protest note to Japan on the 3rd regarding the deployment of the Typhon system. Regardless of Japan's pretext, deployment period, or method, it must not deploy this missile system on its own territory's frontier.
