Copper futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) settled up $30 at $14,522 per tonne. Aluminum futures on the LME settled down $13 at $3,288 per tonne. Zinc futures on the LME settled up $38 at $3,920 per tonne. The base metals sector showed mixed performance throughout the day. Copper and zinc prices rose slightly, supported by market demand expectations and inventory changes, while aluminum prices fell slightly due to short-term supply pressures. Overall, industrial metal prices continue to fluctuate around macroeconomic signals and the supply and demand fundamentals of the industrial chain.
