On Friday, September 18th, local time, the Bloomberg Grain Index closed down 1.13% at 34.3745 points in late New York trading, a cumulative decline of 0.54% for the week. The index had reached a high of 35.1949 points on September 16th. In agricultural futures, Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn futures fell 0.57% this week to $5.2725 per bushel, after reaching a high of $5.3925 per bushel on September 16th; wheat futures fell 1.76% this week to close at $7.1350 per bushel; soybean futures were relatively strong, rising 0.52% this week to $13.03 per bushel, with soybean meal futures rising 1.36% for the week, while soybean oil futures were weak, falling 2.13% for the week. Livestock futures also generally declined, with CBOT lean hog futures falling 5.64% this week, live cattle futures down 2.49%, and feed cattle futures down 3.11%.
