Greek Central Bank Governor Stournaras responded to the latest moves by rating agencies, stating that appropriate policies can turn the tide and there are no insurmountable structural constraints. Many had previously predicted Greece would struggle to overcome its difficulties; however, Greece's economic growth rate is now twice that of other parts of the Eurozone, its public debt-to-GDP ratio is rapidly declining, and related reforms are progressing steadily. Of course, much work remains to be done.
