According to US media reports, on the morning of September 19th local time, an aircraft intruded into restricted airspace over Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) immediately scrambled an F-16 fighter jet to intercept it. At the time of the incident, US President Trump was at Camp David. Such intrusions into restricted airspace have occurred multiple times before. Just on August 9th of this year, at least three aircraft violated temporary flight control regulations near Bedminster, New Jersey, and were intercepted or driven away by scrambled US military aircraft; Trump was also spending the weekend there at the time.
