According to a study published in the latest issue of *Nature*, a research team at Maynooth University in Ireland has successfully developed a novel DNA molecular computer capable of performing various mathematical operations, including addition, multiplication, and division, using the interactions between DNA molecules. This molecular computer is currently the most complex and fastest of its kind reported in public, achieving a computing capacity of 100 bits and the ability to perform up to 25 different operations consecutively. This research is expected to provide new technological directions for low-energy computing and long-term data storage.
