[Exit Poll: United Russia Leads in State Duma Election] An exit poll released on October 20 by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center showed that the ruling United Russia party led the ninth State Duma (lower house of parliament) elections with 49.4% of the vote. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation came in second with 14.2%. The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, the New People's Party, and the Just Russia party ranked third through fifth, respectively. (Xinhua)
