[Over 120,000 Displaced by Situation in Yemen] The situation in Yemen has escalated recently, forcing large numbers of people to flee their homes. Almen Yadgarian, UNHCR Representative in Yemen, told a CCTV reporter that in just one or two weeks, more than 125,000 people have been displaced within Yemen, with thousands more risking their lives to cross the Bab el-Mandeb Strait to reach Djibouti and other destinations. The UNHCR is appealing to the international community for more funding and support to address the growing urgent humanitarian needs. (CCTV International News)
