According to data from China Securities Index Co., Ltd., the average ESG rating score for all listed companies in September was 0.61. Among them, listed companies that released their 2025 Sustainable Development Reports had an average score of 0.76, while those that did not release such reports had an average score of 0.42. The China Securities ESG rating system has 10 levels: AAA, AA, A, BBB, BB, B, CCC, CC, C, and D. In terms of rating distribution, among the 4,881 rated entities, over 42% of companies received a rating of A or higher. In mandatory disclosure indices such as the SSE 180, STAR Market 50, SZSE 100, and ChiNext indices, nearly 90% of companies received a rating of AAA or AA. In the CSI 800 and CSI A500 indices, 85.8% and 89.4% of companies received a rating of A or higher, respectively.
