[Slovenia's Producer Prices Rise 3.5% Year-on-Year in August, Hitting a More Than Three-Year High] ⑴ In August 2026, Slovenia's producer prices rose 3.5% year-on-year, up from 3.4% in the previous month, marking the highest level since July 2023. ⑵ Manufacturing prices rose, from 3.5% in July to 3.7%, particularly in textiles, clothing, paper and paper products, coke and refined petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products, and base metals. ⑶ The price increase in the mining and extractive industries also accelerated, rising from 7.4% to 8.4%. ⑷ In contrast, the price increase for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supplies slowed to 1.9% from 2.1%, while water deflation remained flat at 4.0%. ⑸ Among major industrial sectors, energy prices rose from 2.0% to 2.6%, and intermediate goods prices rose from 5.1% to 5.8%. ⑹ Meanwhile, capital goods costs slowed to 2.4% from 2.8%, and consumer goods costs slowed to 1.0% from 1.4%. (7) On a month-on-month basis, producer prices rose 0.3% in August, slowing from 0.7% in July and marking the lowest reading since March.
