[India's Edible Oil Imports Expected to Rise, Palm Oil and Soybean Oil Prices Both Rise] ⑴ Industry officials predict that India's edible oil imports will increase by approximately 4% in 2025/26, reaching a record level of approximately 16.6 million tons. ⑵ Of this, palm oil imports are expected to increase by approximately 6%, to approximately 8 million tons. ⑶ Soybean oil imports are expected to increase by approximately 4%, reaching a record level of approximately 5.7 million tons. ⑷ Sunflower oil imports are expected to decrease by approximately 3%, to approximately 2.85 million tons. ⑸ The simultaneous increase in palm oil and soybean oil imports may provide some support for international demand and prices of related oils.
