A survey by the Central Bank of Brazil revealed that economists have raised their 2026 IPCA inflation forecast to 4.92%, while maintaining their 2027 forecast at 4.30%. The SELIC interest rate forecast for the end of 2026 has been lowered to 13.50%, while it remains at 12.00% for the end of 2027. GDP growth forecasts for 2026 and 2027 are expected to decline slightly. The Brazilian real is projected to be at 5.20 against the US dollar at the end of 2026 and 5.28 at the end of 2027, with no change in exchange rate expectations.
