[Chicago agricultural commodities mostly rose in early trading, with wheat leading the gains] ⑴ Most grain futures rose in early trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on Monday, with December corn unchanged at $5.28 per bushel. ⑵ December wheat rose 1.75 cents to $7.16 per bushel, leading the grain sector gains. ⑶ December oats fell 4.25 cents to $4.02 per bushel, among the few decliners. ⑷ November soybeans rose slightly by 0.5 cents to $13.04 per bushel, with limited gains. ⑸ In the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's livestock products sector, both beef and pork futures rose. ⑹ October live cattle rose 3.07 cents to $2.19 per pound, and September fattening cattle rose 4.17 cents to $3.38 per pound. ⑺ October hogs rose 0.43 cents to $0.79 per pound. (8) Overall, grain and livestock product futures generally showed strength, with wheat showing a relatively significant increase. Going forward, attention should be paid to the further guidance of export demand and weather factors on prices.
