[Altman Meets with Samsung Executives to Discuss Deepening Cooperation in Memory Chips and AI Infrastructure] ⑴ OpenAI founder Altman met with Samsung Group executives in South Korea on Saturday to discuss deepening cooperation in memory chips and AI infrastructure. ⑵ Samsung said in a statement that it hosted Altman in Yongin, south of Seoul, and arranged for him to meet with about 50 executives from Samsung Electronics, finance, and biotechnology, among other related business units. ⑶ The two sides focused on how artificial intelligence will reshape industry and corporate decision-making and business opportunities over the next 10 years. ⑷ Saturday's meeting further advanced previously announced cooperation, under which Samsung will supply memory chips for OpenAI's "Stargate" infrastructure project and collaborate in the field of AI data centers, including floating data centers at sea. ⑸ Samsung is also accelerating the application of AI technology across its various businesses, covering R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and corporate operations.
