The resolution calls for coordinating development and security, strengthening the role of the United Nations, safeguarding the legitimate rights of developing countries to the peaceful use of science and technology, urging all countries to take concrete measures to promote international cooperation on the peaceful use of science and technology, and avoiding restrictive measures that are inconsistent with their own international obligations. This is the fourth time since 2021 that China has submitted a resolution on the peaceful use of science and technology to the UN General Assembly, which has received broad international support.
