[Austria's Unemployment Rate Rises to 7.3% in October, a Six-Month High] ⑴ Austria's unemployment rate rose to 7.3% in October, up 0.1 percentage points from the same period last year. ⑵ The total number of unemployed increased by 3,999 to 314,499, with the female unemployment rate rising to 7.5% (150,647) and the male and other gender unemployment rate rising to 7.2% (163,852). ⑶ Including training participants, the number of unemployed and those participating in training programs reached 389,941, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year. ⑷ The number of female unemployed training participants increased by 7%, while the corresponding number for men and other genders decreased by 5.2%. ⑸ Long-term unemployment also remained high, with the number of people unemployed for more than 12 months increasing by 18.1% to 56,924.
