[PBOC Governor Pan Gongsheng: Maintaining the Stable Operation of Stock, Bond, and Foreign Exchange Markets] The 25th session of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee held its second plenary meeting on the morning of March 3rd at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The meeting heard a report from Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People's Bank of China, on the progress of financial work, delivered on behalf of the State Council. The report introduced the main progress and achievements of financial work since October 2025, the current economic and financial situation and challenges, and proposed the following considerations for future work: continue to implement a moderately loose monetary policy to create a suitable monetary and financial environment for the sustained and positive development of the economy; further strengthen and improve financial supervision, and continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of supervision; implement monetary policy tools to support the capital market, and consolidate and improve the capital market stabilization mechanism.
