According to the China Gold Association, in the first three quarters of 2026, the total trading volume of all gold products on the Shanghai Gold Exchange reached 25,400 tons (50,800 tons bilaterally), an increase of 6.75% year-on-year; the total trading value reached RMB 25.22 trillion (RMB 50.45 trillion bilaterally), an increase of 42.69% year-on-year. The total trading volume of all gold futures and options on the Shanghai Futures Exchange reached 94,100 tons (188,100 tons bilaterally), a decrease of 9.22% year-on-year; the total trading value reached RMB 67.77 trillion (RMB 135.53 trillion bilaterally), an increase of 10.95% year-on-year.
