BlackRock's Vena Group plans to invest $14 billion in South Korean renewable energy projects. The South Korean government announced Thursday that Vena Group, one of the largest renewable energy developers in the Asia-Pacific region, has submitted a letter of intent, planning to invest 20 trillion won (approximately $14 billion) in several South Korean projects, including the development of renewable energy solutions such as solar and wind power, and battery energy storage systems. Vena Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BlackRock, the world's largest investment management company. Last month, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung met with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink to discuss collaboration in artificial intelligence and renewable energy.
