United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) shares fell 3.3% in late trading on Wednesday after the company reported a net profit attributable to the parent company of NT$14.982 billion for the third quarter of 2025, representing a 68.29% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 3.52% increase year-on-year, with earnings per share of NT$1.20, a near two-year high. Its net profit attributable to the parent company for the first three quarters was NT$31.661 billion, a 18.22% decrease year-on-year, with earnings per share of NT$2.54, still at a relatively low level compared to the same period in the past five years.
