[Poland Maintains Ban on Some Ukrainian Agricultural Imports] On October 29, local time, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stated that despite the EU's adjustments to trade rules with Ukraine, Poland will maintain its ban on the import of some Ukrainian agricultural products. In a statement, the ministry noted that the new EU-Ukraine trade agreement, which came into effect that day, "applies to imports of goods throughout the EU," but some clauses remain unchanged. "Poland's ban on imports of wheat, maize, rapeseed, sunflower seeds, and certain processed products from Ukraine remains in effect indefinitely."
