[Jury verdict: Musk misled Twitter investors in 2022 acquisition] A jury found that Elon Musk's actions in 2022, in an attempt to acquire Twitter Inc. for less than the initial $44 billion offer, constituted fraud against Twitter investors. On March 20, a San Francisco federal court jury ruled that Musk intentionally misled Twitter shareholders when he tweeted claims that the social network had a large number of fake accounts and attempted to terminate the deal.
