According to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), equity fund managers made changes to their positions in S&P 500 futures contracts on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the week ending March 31. They increased their net long positions in the futures by 39,730 contracts, reaching a total of 912,682 contracts; at the same time, they reduced their net short positions by 113,496 contracts, bringing them down to 215,932 contracts.
