[Tourism Expected to Grow 6% During Qingming Festival Holiday, with Inter-Provincial Travel Accounting for Over 54%] Today is the first day of the Qingming Festival holiday. China Mobile's Wutong Big Data analysis shows that the overlap of the spring break for some primary and secondary school students with the Qingming Festival holiday has boosted travel enthusiasm, with the overall number of travelers expected to increase by 6% compared to the same period last year. It is understood that Jiangsu, Sichuan, Anhui, Guizhou, and other regions have arranged their spring break from April 1st to 3rd, connecting it with the Qingming Festival holiday to form a six-day continuous holiday. Since April 1st, the number of travelers in these spring break areas has increased by 41% compared to the same period last year. In terms of travel type, intra-provincial travel accounts for 46%, while inter-provincial travel accounts for 54%, with the proportion of inter-provincial travelers increasing by 12 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Overall, the extended holiday has expanded people's travel radius. Data shows that museums, key scenic spots, patriotic education bases, and theme parks in spring break areas have seen an 18% increase in visitor traffic since the start of the spring break compared to the same period last year.
