According to Russian media reports on April 4th, Rosatom CEO Likhachev stated in an interview that following the attack on Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant, Rosatom staff traveled by bus to the Iranian-Armenian border, intending to fly back to Russia from Yerevan, the Armenian capital. The first evacuation involved 198 people. Likhachev pointed out that the attack on April 4th occurred in the protected area near the nuclear power plant, resulting in the death of one Iranian citizen. He stated that it is currently unclear whether this was an accident or a deliberate attack, but the situation around the nuclear power plant is developing in a very pessimistic direction, with the risk of a nuclear accident constantly increasing. The Bushehr nuclear power plant is the only operating nuclear power plant in Iran.
