[US Gasoline Prices Rise to $4.10 Per Gallon, Up 37% Since Iran War] According to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), the average price of gasoline in the United States rose to $4.10 per gallon on April 4th, up 12 cents from the previous week. Since the US-Israel attack on Iran on February 28th, gasoline prices have increased by 37%. The main reasons for the price increase are the near closure of the Strait of Hormuz and reduced oil production in the Middle East. California has the highest average gasoline price in the country, approaching $5.92 per gallon, while Oklahoma has the lowest average price at $3.29 per gallon.
