According to a report by the Wall Street Journal on the 4th, Iran is using a sophisticated network of multispectral cameras to track and identify US and Israeli aircraft. The report quoted Amir Avivi, chairman of the Israel Defense and Security Forum, as saying that Iran has deployed these cameras along routes frequently flown by enemy aircraft or on key flight paths. These cameras are capable of capturing data at wavelengths beyond visible light. Once an enemy aircraft is detected, the Iranian military will attempt to shoot it down. Unlike radar devices, these cameras do not emit signals, thus avoiding being located by Israel.
