On April 4th local time, the Israel Defense Forces Homeland Defense Command announced that it would extend the current wartime protection guidelines until at least the evening of April 6th, with schools in most areas remaining closed. Israel stated that it would reassess the situation at that time. Israel said that schools in some areas could open with limited capacity, provided that people could access shelters in a timely manner; however, indoor gatherings would be limited to 100 people, and outdoor gatherings to 50 people. The rest of Israel would remain closed, with gatherings limited to 50 people.
