On April 5th local time, eight member countries of "OPEC+", comprised of OPEC and non-OPEC oil-producing nations, held a meeting. These eight countries are Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman. The meeting decided to increase daily crude oil production by 206,000 barrels starting in May 2026, continuing the previously announced plan to gradually phase out voluntary production cuts. However, the meeting did not make any other adjustments to the existing production policy.
