[Heavy Rains in Angola Have Killed 29] On April 5th local time, Angola's Civil Defense and Fire Service stated that heavy rains that have struck the provinces of Luanda and Benguela over the past two days have resulted in 29 deaths, 17 injuries, and 3 missing persons. The Civil Defense and Fire Service announced on social media that the severe weather has directly affected approximately 34,000 people, impacting over 6,800 families. The torrential rains have caused widespread flooding and collapse of homes in the two provinces, damaged public infrastructure, and inundated some medical centers and schools.
