[Zelensky Visits Syria to "Promote" Weapons and Food] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Syria on September 5, his first visit since the two countries restored diplomatic relations last September. According to multiple media reports, Zelensky's trip aimed to sell anti-drone systems and food to the new Syrian regime. Later that evening, Zelensky posted on social media that he had met with Syrian transitional government President Ayatollah El Shaarawy in Damascus and reached an agreement on strengthening security cooperation.
