[Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: my country's Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry Value Added Up 14.2% Year-on-Year in January-February] According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on April 8, the value added of my country's electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 14.2% year-on-year in January-February, 7.9 and 1.1 percentage points higher than the growth rates of the overall industrial sector and high-tech manufacturing sector, respectively. Among major products, mobile phone production reached 223 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%, of which smartphone production reached 187 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%; microcomputer equipment production reached 41.96 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%; and integrated circuit production reached 81.5 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%.
