By 2030, global data center spending may reach $7 trillion. Large technology companies are using private equity, private credit and other financing methods to raise huge sums of money, which puts pressure on insurance companies' underwriting capacity. For example, it was almost impossible to insure a $20 billion data center park in 2023, but by 2026 it has become a common topic of discussion. (2) Data centers have highly concentrated value, large power generation demand and cutting-edge technology, requiring specialized insurance solutions.
