[my country's First 180,000-Cubic-Meter Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Carrier Completed] Today (April 8), my country's first domestically designed and built 180,000-cubic-meter LNG carrier was successfully completed in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, meeting delivery requirements. This marks a new strength for my country in the field of high-value-added shipbuilding. The 180,000-cubic-meter LNG carrier, built by my country Merchants Shipbuilding's Haimen base, is 298.8 meters long and 48 meters wide. It adopts a dual-fuel low-speed propulsion system and boasts advantages such as low evaporation rate and high environmental performance, signifying a major breakthrough for Chinese shipbuilders in the construction of large clean energy vessels. It is also currently the largest LNG carrier built and completed in my country. (CCTV News)
