Action camera maker GoPro filed a document with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on April 7, disclosing that its board of directors has approved a restructuring plan aimed at reducing operating costs and improving operating leverage. The plan is expected to result in the layoff of approximately 145 employees globally, representing about 23% of the company's total workforce at the end of the first quarter (631 employees). The layoffs will begin in the second quarter of this year and are expected to be largely completed by the end of the year.
