[First Production Unit of South Korea's Self-Developed Medium-High Altitude Unmanned Reconnaissance Aircraft Rolls Off the Production Line] ⑴ South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced on the 8th that the first production unit of its self-developed medium-high altitude unmanned reconnaissance aircraft (MUAV) rolled off the production line that day at the Korean Aeronautical Technology Center in Busan. This aircraft is South Korea's first strategic-class unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), developed and produced under the leadership of DAPA and the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), with participation from companies such as Korean Air, LIG D&A, and Hanwha Systems. ⑵ This UAV can conduct reconnaissance of ground targets at an altitude of 10 to 12 kilometers, with a radar detection range of approximately 100 kilometers. DAPA stated that after being deployed to the armed forces, this UAV can autonomously conduct real-time monitoring and response to enemy strategic targets using high-performance camera equipment and sensors.
