[Germany's Public Fiscal Deficit to Reach €127.3 Billion in 2025] Statistics released by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany on April 7 show that Germany's public fiscal deficit will reach €127.3 billion in 2025, an increase of €22.9 billion from 2024, marking a new high since 2022. The Federal Statistical Office pointed out that unlike 2022, when the deficit was mainly generated at the federal government level, the fiscal gap in 2025 has expanded to all levels of government. Specifically, the federal government deficit will increase to €85.4 billion, while the local government (municipal) deficit will reach €31.9 billion, a record high. In addition, statistics show that the German federal government's spending on military procurement has also increased, reaching €39 billion, an increase of 23.4%. (CCTV News)
