[According to US global military deployment data, Japan and Germany have the largest troop presence] ⑴ According to data from the US Department of Defense, the US deploys military forces in approximately 80 countries and regions worldwide, with most deployments concentrated in a few strategic locations. Japan and Germany have the largest number of US troops stationed there, at 61,700 and 49,300 respectively. ⑵ South Korea ranks third with 26,700 troops. Italy and the UK have 15,400 and 11,600 US troops stationed there, respectively. In addition, there are smaller deployments in Spain, Bahrain, Turkey, and Cuba.
